Henry's story
Also commemorated in the East Ham Memorial Book of fallen local men.
The bell lists Private H Wenham and this seems the most likely identity, though among the fallen was a Lance Corporal Herbert William John Wenham from Bow.
The Tabernacle messenger (church magazine of the time) has these records, which coudl be from the same family. They don’t match with the CWGC databse:
Private A Wenham October 1914 – enlisted, Scots Guards
Bert Wenham November 1915 – killed in action, Gallipoli
