Edward Albert's story
DCM one of eight to 2nd Battalion gazetted on 3rd June 1915 for service in Mesopotamia. “For Conspicuous gallantry and devotion to duty near Ahwaz (Turkey in Asia) on 3rd March, 1915, in bandaging the wounded in the open, under very heavy fire, and protecting them with his own rifle fire at critical moments”.
