The Tabernacle Messenger (church magazine) reported:
October 1914 – Trooper A J Edmunds – enlisted, 17th Lancers, 3rd Cavalry Regiment
January 1915 – A J Edmunds received a parcel for Christmas 1914
December 1916 – Arnold Edmunds, 27 years, killed in action
