Frank Charles' story

Frank Charles Surridge served in the Royal Naval Volunteer Reserve, Nelson Battalion Royal Naval Division

He had five siblings: 
• William Frederick
• Louisa Rose
• Sidney Walter
• Leonard
• Ernest George

The two oldest boys, William and Frank, both worked as tug hands at the docks, alongside 
their father, who was a foreman.  The family moved to Canning Town from Bromley-by-Bow (Poplar) where Frank had been born.
