There is also a Private E J Swan named on the bells, who could be Driver Alexander James Swan.

The Tabernacle Messenger (church magazine of the time) lists H Swan in the Royal Navy and E Swan as among those receiving a parcel for Christmas 1914. In January 1917 it reports that a Charles Swan had died of wounds.
