Henry John Charles 's story

Bell has M Mason.

Enlisted in December 1915 and served in 11th Battalion K.R.R.C. as Rfm  R/21520.

 On 20th September 1917 the Battalion took part in an attack on the German trenches, northeast of Langemarck (Flanders).  Some of the objectives were taken but at heavy cost.  During the day nine officers were either killed or wounded and  over 200 other ranks were killed, wounded or missing – among them Rifleman Henry Mason.
