    He was my grandfather. He was married to Nellie, they had 4 daughters Violet, Ivy, Grace and my mother Lilian Fretwell.
    There is more information available, including the letter my grandmother received informing her of his death.
    I was told she also received his last weeks pay minus the cost of the blanket he was buried in!
    I am passing this site on to my son who might be able to give you a little more information.
